The «Best Room» - a room for living
This project is my first built answer to the question: “What makes a room the ‘Best Room’?” The jury selected it to be the winner among 40 submissions.
My concept highlights the idea that the ‘Best Room’ is a room for living: the door can be opened when entertaining guests and closed when you feel the need to sit back and relax. The flow of activities is translated into a dynamic space, shaped by a curved wall (existing on site) and an inclined roof. These architectural features allow for different atmospheres within the same space.
Bachelor project, in collaboration with EASTLAB, EPFL, 2015
Design leitmotif: use of dynamic architectural features (curved wall, inclined roof) corresponding to the movement of life
